Carlsberg Verbier High Five

Nick Fellows presents this exciting event and Richard Cobbing commentates as skiing and snowboarding stars participate alongside fans in events such as parallel giant slalom, skier cross and speed ski tests.

The Carlsberg Verbier High Five also raises ten of thousands of pounds for charity each year from the end of year celebrations.

Some of the top male athletes at this year’s event include World Cup Downhill Champion Didier Cuche and former Overall World Cup Champion Aksel Lund Svindal. Svindal’s season this year was derailed after a crash in Beaver Creek. At the Verbier High Five, Svindal will be on skis for the first time since his crash.

On the women’s side, American No. 1 and Overall World Cup Champion and World Cup Downhill Champion Lindsey Vonn will compete along with Chemmy Alcott, the British No. 1 alpine skier.

The programme will also include behind-the-scenes footage of end of season celebrations and athlete features and interviews.

And if you can’t catch the programme on Sunday, be sure to tune in to the repeat this Tuesday, 15th April at 1:05 am
