British Land National Ski Championships from Meribel, France

      8 a.m. Sunday, 6th April on Channel 4

The top British Men’s and Women’s skiers compete in this action-packed episode. World Cup Skiing on 4’s Nick Fellows will be joined in the commentary box by British No. 1 Finlay Mickel.

World Cup Skiing on 4 will also profile two of Britain’s up-and-coming skiing stars, 22 year old Ed Drake and 21 year old Dougie Crawford. They are both leading members of the British Europa Cup squad with exciting futures ahead of them.

All eyes will be on Chemmy Alcott, Britain’s leading World Cup skier, as she guns for her second consecutive Overall Title at the British National Championships. If she achieves this result, it would be the fifth Overall Title of her career. Other female athletes to watch out for are Pam Thorburn and Jayme Baggio, who is only 16 and skis part time while studying for 11 GCSE exams!

In addition to the Championship race action, World Cup Skiing on 4 will bring you a feature on the British Adaptive Ski Team. Also, tune in to see the British team out of their skis as they participate in an interactive off-road driving challenge.

We will also have an interview with Prince Edward, Duke of Wessex as he comments on his role as patron of Snowsport GB.

Don’t miss this thrilling conclusion to World Cup Skiing on 4’s 2007/08 season, and thanks as always for your viewing and support all this season.
