Crans Montana

World Cup Skiing on 4 comes to you this week from Crans-Montana, Switzerland with the Women's Downhill at 7.55 am Sunday 9th March 2008. Nick Fellows will commentate on the action, and will be joined by two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Michaela Dorfmeister.

 

Nick interviews Lindsey Vonn, who is fresh off winning the Women's Downhill title, about the possibility of an Overall World Cup Title this year. Vonn would be the first American woman to win Overall Alpine Title since Tamara McKinney won it in 1983.

In this week's resort guide, Nick takes a closer look at the spectacular Swiss resort of Crans-Montana.

As always, Chemmy Alcott will be on hand with her fitness advice in the weekly segment Fit to Ski.

Tune in on Monday night when Nick Fellows and World Cup Skiing on 4 bring you Women's Downhill from Crans-Montana and the Men's Giant Slalom highlights from Kransjka Gora, Slovenia.

Tuesday night, Nick Fellows will present the Men's 30 km Pursuit Race and the Women's 15 km Pursuit Race of the Nordic World Cup in Falun, Sweden.

On Friday night, World Cup Skiing on 4 will cover the Snowboard World Cup with half-pipe action from Calgary and snowboard cross from Gujo Gifo, Japan, and Lake Placid.

Tune in this week and all season as Channel 4 brings you the most in depth wintersport coverage on terrestrial TV.

    Nick Fellows is currently working on the Red Bull Air Race. He is providing commentary for both the international programmes and also the Channel 4 series. The Red Bull Air race started in April 2008 in Abu Dhabi and will continue until the final event in Perth November 2008.

    Nick FellowsNick Fellows has just finished presenting and Executive Producing the sixth series of World Cup Skiing on 4. The series provides Channel 4 with over 110 hours of programming.

    Like last year, Nick is also presented and reported for CBC-Canada.


    During the Autumn Nick worked on a documentary in South America which focused on the British team's training in South America.
