This week Channel 4 brings you one of the biggest races of the season from Kitzbühel, Austria. Tune in on Sunday 20th January at the earlier time of 7.45 am for the famous Hahnenkamm Downhill.

Nick Fellows will be joined in Kitzbühel by former French ski racer, Luc Alphand who won in Kitzbühel in 1995 and the Overall World Cup in 1997. Now retired from ski racing Luc is a successful race car driver competing in events such as Le Mans Series, he also won the Dakar Rally in 2006.

Race action will be heavily featured in this weeks programme as the notoriously difficult Hahnenkamm course is one if the toughest on most coveted World Cups on the circuit.

This week we feature Austrian family man the Michael Walchhofer who won the Combined in Kitzbühel in 2003. Walchhofer is in the chase for the Downhill World Cup and will be out to prove himself this weekend.

As always we will provide detailed information about the host resort and this week we will focus on the amenities of Kitzbühel which are beneficial for holidaymakers traveling with their families and young children.

Chemmy Alcott will be back in the gym to bring you this weeks Fit to Ski tip featuring Dead Leg Lifts which are not as deadly as they sound!

We will also bringing you a round up of the Snow conditions in the French Alps as next week the tour moves onto Chamonix.

On Monday night World Cup Skiing on 4 will be bringing you highlights of the weekend's racing in Kitzbühel along with a look at the women's downhill in Cortina, Italy

Tuesday night features the Nordic World Cup with commentary from expert Patrick Winterton. Action will be brought to you from the Tour Du Ski events in Val Di Fiemme.

The week of Wintersports closes on Friday with Snowboard and Freestyle World Cup action from Bad Gastein and Les Contamines. Former World Champion Silver medalist Raz Cobbing commentates.

    Nick Fellows is currently working on the Red Bull Air Race. He is providing commentary for both the international programmes and also the Channel 4 series. The Red Bull Air race started in April 2008 in Abu Dhabi and will continue until the final event in Perth November 2008.

    Nick FellowsNick Fellows has just finished presenting and Executive Producing the sixth series of World Cup Skiing on 4. The series provides Channel 4 with over 110 hours of programming.

    Like last year, Nick is also presented and reported for CBC-Canada.


    During the Autumn Nick worked on a documentary in South America which focused on the British team's training in South America.
