MD'd and played keyboards for various TV acts. (eg.,
Frank Carson, Bernie Clifton, The Platters, Bobby Davro, Bob Monkhouse, Shirley Bassey, Jimmy Tarbuck, Des O'Connor, Brian Connely)

 

1986    -   1997

Worked exclusively for Sir Cliff Richard in the capacity of Record Producer, Co-Writer, Musical Director & Band/Orchestral Arranger.
During this time he was responsible for producing and arranging the albums & singles, running the recording / production budgets and session scheduling for all the recorded musical output from Cliff. 
Also, overseeing all musical and technical aspects of Cliff's touring activities around the world and any live TV appearances / performances.

Signed publishing deal with WARNER/CHAPPELL UK.

 


1998 -  2001   

Paul became one half of a successful dance production / remix team PUMP FRICTION vs. PRECIOUS PAUL and had success in the pop/dance remix charts.   They remixed many mainstream pop artists (Peter Andre, Eternal, Robin S, Mantronix, Grandmaster Flash) and had a UK #1 hit  production with ALEXIA - "GIVE ME LOVE" (Sony).

 

2002 - 2004

Continued writing/producing and pitching songs for various artists.

Signed new publishing deal with WARNER CHAPPEL U.S.

In 2004 he spent much of his time in L.A. and N.Y. working with West Coast recording and mix engineer Humberto Gatica (Celine Dion, Michael Jackson, Josh Grobin) writing and producing for Atlantic recording artist CHERIE and also working on Clay Aiken's (AMERICAN IDOL) sellout US tour.

Cheries' single "OLDER THAN MY YEARS", which he wrote and produced reached #10 in the US Adult Contemporary chart and was hailed by Billboard magazine  as "...one of the best pop ballads of the year..."

While in LA he met with legendary Hollywood feature film Orchestrator / Conductor Bill Ross & worked with Arranger / Orchestrator David Campbell on the project.   From that moment on his love of the classic Hollywood Film Score was rekindled.

 

2005 - 2007

Focused on producing and developing 2 new artists for his own music production company, collaborating with top LA programmer / engineer Josh Binder (KennyG, Barbera Streisand, Celine Dion, Walter Affanasieff) and took on the duties as Producer / Mixer for the Pussy Cat Dolls' live UK show broadcast mixes.


Participated in a film music orchestration course with #1 Hollywood  Orchestrator / Arranger Scott Smalley (organized by the L.A. Film Institute.)

Composed music for TV advertising campaigns in the UK and Europe:

Currently working on many TV & advertising productions and is also in negotiation to score his first feature film.

Hothouse Productions was founded by Nick Fellows in 1998, to create an alternative voice in sports, factual, lifestyle and adventure television programming. The company has brought lifestyle sports to terrestrial television, merging music, fashion, style and travel into the traditional event based sports formula with sports such as skiing and snowboarding, beach volleyball and triathlon. Since then the company has also started producing documentaries in China and Cuba and factual adventure travel programming for clients around the world. Hothouse has produced programming for all of the major terrestrial broadcasters in the UK as well as North America, Asia Pacific, Europe and South America.

  • 01/08/08 Nick Fellows is currently working on the Red Bull Air Race series for Channel 4
  • 09/04/08 The ski season isn’t over yet. Tune in to Channel 4 this Sunday, 13th April at 8 am for a 30 minute programme on the Carlsberg Verbier High Five event as it receives full coverage for the first time in the U.K. The event celebrates the stars of the FIS Skiing and Snowboarding World Cup, and gives fans the opportunity to meet and compete against these athletes.
  • 02/04/08 Tune into Channel 4 this Sunday, 6th April at 8 a.m. for the final World Cup Skiing on 4 show of the 2007/08 season. World Cup Skiing on 4 will be in Meribel, France covering the British Land National Ski Championships.

Nick Fellows is currently working on the Red Bull Air Race. He is providing commentary for both the international programmes and also the Channel 4 series. The Red Bull Air race started in April 2008 in Abu Dhabi and will continue until the final event in Perth November 2008.

Nick FellowsNick Fellows has just finished presenting and Executive Producing the sixth series of World Cup Skiing on 4. The series provides Channel 4 with over 110 hours of programming.

Like last year, Nick is also presented and reported for CBC-Canada.


During the Autumn Nick worked on a documentary in South America which focused on the British team's training in South America.
