Chris Kimsey

The acclaimed producer best known for his seven album association with The Rolling Stones has worked with a wide variety of artists including INXS, Gypsy Kings, Marillion, The Chieftans, Peter Tosh, Killing Joke, Psychedelic Furs, The Cult, Duran Duran, Peter Frampton, ELP, Bad Company, Soul Asylum and Ash.

Musical experience: Chris began his career assisting Glyn Johns (father of Ethan!) on albums by Led Zeppelin, The Faces and The Rolling Stones. At 21 Chris was freelance and worked on numerous projects on both sides of the Atlantic, including Bad Company, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Peter Frampton, and Ten Years After. His work with the Stones includes engineering "Some Girls", co-producing with Mick and Keith "Emotional Rescue", "Tattoo You" and "Undercover" and producing "Steel Wheels" and "High Wire". In addition to this Chris has produced a wide variety of international artists, including Killing Joke, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh, Joan Jet, Marillion, Marianne Faithful, Duran Duran, the Psychedelic Furs, the Cult, and the Quireboys.

Recent productions have included, additional production and mixes on "Full Moon, Dirty Hearts" for INXS and the live audio and visual recording of the "Parc Des Princes" 50th Anniversary show for French superstar Johnny Hallyday.

Chris has also completed tracks with The Rolling Stones on The Chieftains "Long Black Veil" album plus tracks on Deacon Blue's "Our Town The Greatest Hits" album.

Most recently he completed live tracks on the The Rolling Stones album "Stripped", including the single "Like A Rolling Stone", and produced the second album for RCA artist Comfort ( formally known as Out Of My Hair). Produced a live album for Johnny Hallyday in Miami and albums for The Gypsy Kings and Soul Asylum.

Hothouse Productions was founded by Nick Fellows in 1998, to create an alternative voice in sports, factual, lifestyle and adventure television programming. The company has brought lifestyle sports to terrestrial television, merging music, fashion, style and travel into the traditional event based sports formula with sports such as skiing and snowboarding, beach volleyball and triathlon. Since then the company has also started producing documentaries in China and Cuba and factual adventure travel programming for clients around the world. Hothouse has produced programming for all of the major terrestrial broadcasters in the UK as well as North America, Asia Pacific, Europe and South America.

  • 01/08/08 Nick Fellows is currently working on the Red Bull Air Race series for Channel 4
  • 09/04/08 The ski season isn’t over yet. Tune in to Channel 4 this Sunday, 13th April at 8 am for a 30 minute programme on the Carlsberg Verbier High Five event as it receives full coverage for the first time in the U.K. The event celebrates the stars of the FIS Skiing and Snowboarding World Cup, and gives fans the opportunity to meet and compete against these athletes.
  • 02/04/08 Tune into Channel 4 this Sunday, 6th April at 8 a.m. for the final World Cup Skiing on 4 show of the 2007/08 season. World Cup Skiing on 4 will be in Meribel, France covering the British Land National Ski Championships.

Nick Fellows is currently working on the Red Bull Air Race. He is providing commentary for both the international programmes and also the Channel 4 series. The Red Bull Air race started in April 2008 in Abu Dhabi and will continue until the final event in Perth November 2008.

Nick FellowsNick Fellows has just finished presenting and Executive Producing the sixth series of World Cup Skiing on 4. The series provides Channel 4 with over 110 hours of programming.

Like last year, Nick is also presented and reported for CBC-Canada.


During the Autumn Nick worked on a documentary in South America which focused on the British team's training in South America.
